BTW, I and my &quot;life partner&quot; did the same thing and just moved into a floating home in Scappoose (down the river from you about 20 miles).  We&#039;re  going through the exact same thing you are, sans bats and wiring in the floors :&gt;), although we have our own remodeling challenges.  Your posts made me laugh out loud.

Re those French doors.  We found out that ours are actually *interior* French doors placed on the east exterior end of our floating home. We haven&#039;t had the issues with water spraying in, though, since we&#039;re in the Multnomah Channel and somewhat protected, though they are drafty. We&#039;ll eventually need to replace them, and yes, Pella does make exterior French doors. I like the door you chose, though.
