BTW, I and my “life partner” did the same thing and just moved into a floating home in Scappoose (down the river from you about 20 miles). We’re going through the exact same thing you are, sans bats and wiring in the floors :>), although we have our own remodeling challenges. Your posts made me laugh out loud.

Re those French doors. We found out that ours are actually *interior* French doors placed on the east exterior end of our floating home. We haven’t had the issues with water spraying in, though, since we’re in the Multnomah Channel and somewhat protected, though they are drafty. We’ll eventually need to replace them, and yes, Pella does make exterior French doors. I like the door you chose, though.
