Hang in There, Gang

Published by Steph at 11:37 pm under Blogs

Well, if you made it this far it will probably be hard to miss the fact that Coming Unmoored is going through a site redesign.  I realize there’s currently several formatting issues.

You’re more than welcome to drop me a note and kvetch on any problems you’re experiencing, but just so you know, I’m working to clean things up as quickly as possible.  Hopefully things will be relatively stable by Monday.

The site redesign is just the first of a couple of things to come on the site, so stay tuned.

Hi Steph – Just wanted to let you know I like the new look. Very visual and easy to find past posts. Keep up the good work! The only thing I miss is your banner with your home on the river…Kent

Thanks, Kent. I’m trying to figure a way to sneak the houses shot back in. (That and the coming unmoored quote I love.) I was just worried that added it to the banner might get too visually distracting with the new banner.

Whatever else you’ve done, this change seems to have made your RSS feed work for properly-checking readers. It works in Akregator now.

Your comment form layout seems a bit messed up though. The website and twitter ID boxes seem to be out of tab order and the labels aren’t laid out right.

Ed, that’s great news. I was just about to email you and ask.

For what it’s worth, I think the issue may have been the FD Feedburner plugin I was using. I deactivated it to test. If that didn’t resolve the issue, I was getting ready to hire an RSS guru because I simply haven’t had the time to troubleshoot.

    Thanks for your patience.

I am with Ken. That banner with the incredible picture of your dock is one of the things I look forward to about visiting your blog, so I hope you do find a way to sneak it back in!

But otherwise I like it! The bugs will get worked out when you get to it, I’m sure. Looks great!

Not sure I like it, but I’ve just added a version of the logo that includes my marina pic again.

If anyone has suggestions for a better format, I’d love to hear them!

It’s better than not having it on there, but I still liked it better before. Of course my opinion is worth what you paid me for it :-)

And sorry for saying Ken instead of Kent in my above post, Kent.

Odds are I’ll keep mucking with it. Especially since it’s not scaling correctly currently.
