I can’t speak for anyone else, but love books that provide brief, easy to act-upon suggestions. This book is a perfect example of that.

The Simple Living Guide Simple Living by Janet Lurhs
One of the larger books I’ve found on the simplicity movement, packed with lots of useful information.

Simplicity Lessons: A 12-Step Guide to Living Simply Simple Living by Linda Breen Pierce
Each chapter tackles a different aspect of simplifying. For example: embracing community, working with passion, time management, etc.

Simplify Your Life: 100 Ways to Slow Down and Enjoy the Things that Really Matter Simple Living by Elaine St. James
More brief, easy to act-upon suggestions from Ms. St. James.

Six Weeks to a Simpler Lifestyle Simple Living by Barbara DeGrote-Sorensen and David Allen Sorensen
While I like that this book broke it’s advice into six manageable weeks of concrete steps, the religious overtones were a bit much for me. Other readers may not be as bothered by this.

Voluntary Simplicity: Toward a Way of Life That is Outwardly Simple, Inwardly Rich Simple Living by Duane Elgin
One of the classics of the voluntary simplicity movement.
